Bear is a really special boy. Although he is shy at first, once he's comfortable and knows he's safe he'll want to be by your side at all times. He'll nudge you gently for more attention and lean in while you're petting him. Bear is very intelligent and would be a star pupil in any training class. And after he's gained some confidence, he'd be a great agility candidate! Bear has been in a shelter for a very long time, and for this reason, we think Bear would be better off in a home with no small children or other pets. He needs someone with time, patience, and experience to give him confidence and help him understand that the world really isn't such a scary place. We know he will thrive in the right home and be the loving, relaxed, playful pup he so desperately wants to be.
